Want to be the first on your block with a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro?  It's simple - win the third production unit that's being auctioned for charity.

Normally, GM reserves the first five production vehicles for 'special use' and historic collections, but they've seen fit to auction the third production Camaro to benefit the College for Creative Studies.

According to the eBay listing, the car will be an SS model, equipped with the 422-hp 6.2-liter V-8.  Though it's listed as having a manual transmission, the auction does indicate that the winning bidder will spec the car's colors and options to his or her tastes - and we wonder if an automatic transmission could be one of them.

The auction (available here) runs through 9 pm on October 25, but the winner won't receive the car until production begins in early 2009.
