Like the Fiat 500, but feel the Fiat 500 Abarth isn't quite hot enough for your tastes?  Just wait for the 2009 Fiat 500 Abarth esseesse, which will debut at the 2008 Paris motor show in October.

Once you try reading its name out loud, you'll realize that this iteration of the 500 is aims to be a super sport.  Though Fiat hasn't released the particulars of this model, we're hearing buzz of a turbocharged 1.4-liter turbocharged I-4 that may produce around 160 hp.

Along with the tweaked engine, expect the esseesse to use a modified suspension, larger alloy wheels, and a new body kit.  From what we see in these official photos, the latter closely resembles the racing-spec 500 Abarth Assetto Corse.

We'll learn more on Fiat's latest hot hatch when it's launched at the 2008 Paris motor show on October 2nd. Stay tuned to Automobile Magazine for all the latest news from the Paris show.
