Because of falling sales, Toyota Motor Corp. plans to sell off its excess inventory from the United States by exporting it to other countries. Originally reported by Japanese news agency, the Jiji Press, the story also said that the primary destinations of the vehicles will be Latin America and the Middle East.
Toyota will be sending the Sienna minivan, produced at its Princeton, Indiana plant to Latin America. The Sequoia SUV, which is produced at the same plant, will be shipped to the Middle East. Also, the Tacoma pickup will be sent from its plant in California to Mexico.
Toyota has yet to comment on any of this news.
