We weren't expecting to see details of the 2010 Saab 9-4x, the brand's first crossover, to emerge until sometime next year.  Thanks to an overzealous dealer in Chile, we've got a sneak peek at its specifications.

Like the 2010 Cadillac SRX, the 9-4x will use GM's Theta platform, designed for compact SUVs like the Chevrolet Equinox or Saturn Vue.  Saab's version will, according to the dealer's site, borrow some mechanical bits from the 9-3.  The base engine is rumored to be the 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 found in the 9-3 2.0T, which will be coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission and the Haldex-sourced XWD system.

That package is expected to produce a 0-62 mph time of 6.4 seconds, a top speed of 155 mph, and return 25 mpg in the city - although we doubt that's based upon the EPA's official test cycle.  Impressive figures, but we'll see if they'll hold true when the 9-4x makes its production debut.
