Lest you felt two hybrid Peugeot show cars at the 2008 Paris motor show weren't enough, here's a third: the Peugeot Prologue concept.

Unlike the company's other hybrid concept for the 2008 show, the RC, the Prologue is rooted in reality.  The compact crossover is built from the existing 308 hatchback, and is virtually a dead ringer for an upcoming competitor to the Nissan Qashai.

Although the Prologue's hybrid system is very similar to that of the RC concept, with a 200 hp rating, it's nearly 113 ponies short of the slinky sports sedan.

Look for a production form of the Prologue to arrive at the 2009 Geneva motor show in early March.
