While most summer car shows focus on power and performance, the third annual Hybridfest, scheduled for July 19 and 20 in Madison, Wisconsin, celebrates a different characteristic: ecology.
As its name suggests, Hybridfest does celebrate the hybrid car, but doesn't exclude other green-fueled conveyances. The celebration welcomes vehicles running on biodiesel, natural gas, and electricity to the festivities.
Held as part of the Dane County Fair, Hybridfest's activities include multiple seminars, hybrid test drives, and a parade. Organizers hope the event will draw close to 200 cars and more than 12,000 people.
