It only took her 27 years, 450 lessons, and 50 mock exams to get it right, but Teresa Clarke finally has her drivers' license.
Clarke, a 62-year-old resident of Wroxham, England, aggravated or scared a few instructors before her stepson, Richard Minkler helped her out.
Clarke, at 5-feet tall, required a cushion to see over the dash, and attributes much of her troubles to her inability to concentrate for any length of time. What Mrs. Clarke lacked in concentration, she made up with persistence.
Clarke was even told by her last instructor, "I'm awfully sorry, but you are no good. You will never pass." Yet after three decades of trying, she's managed to do just that.
