Customized Chrysler 300

Hustling to work down Interstate 94 on any given weekday morning, I rarely have cars chase me down on me at high rates of speed. And when they do, they are usually small cars driven by young women yapping on their cell phones.

Not this time.

What sort of Bentley-esque tank was bearing down on me? This is southeastern Michigan, not southern California, so I fished out my camera.

The two-tone nose and mesh grille threw me until it was close enough to my rearview mirror to pick out the Chrysler wing badge. Check out this Chrysler 300C, customized from front to back, Kind of impressive, in a gangsta way. All new wide chrome trim, and looks to have new door handles.

As Joe Lorio points out in his web story "Enduring Appeal," the 300C - our 2005 Automobile of the Year -- still has legs. Especially when you take it upon yourself to freshen up the design a tad.
