O.K, so it's not an automobile.  But we've lauded Chevrolet's Tahoe Hybrid for its towing ability, and I think Edison Marine's all-electric speedboat makes for an awesome - and equally green - towable plaything.

Built in the style of vintage Chris-Craft speedboats, Edison's boat is a seventeen-foot wooden speedboat with dual cockpits.  In lieu of the traditional internal-combustion powerplant, Edison equips its boat with 144-volt DC motors connected to the prop.  Both single- and dual-propeller versions are available - unusual for this size of craft.

Although the Edison supposedly can run for 8-10 hours on a single charge, that figure's tied to speeds under 10 mph.  That said, the boat can hit a top end of 31 mph, but that will limit just how far you can cruise.  We'd recommend skipping that infamous three hour tour...

The mixture of electricity and elegance doesn't come cheap.  The base single-prop motor runs for close to $100,000.  The dual-prop model stickers at $120,000, but also comes with its own trailer.

That's a lot of coin, but hey; whatever floats your boat.
