By the look of this Passat, Volkswagen tacked on the whole body-kit and kaboodle when they assembled this car. The add-ons include, among other sporty-looking bits, vents behind the rear wheels. Presumably, this is to promote air flow to help keep the rear brakes from overheating. This strikes me as an odd addition to a car that isn’t really sporty, especially when compared to some of Volkswagens other offerings. Add these to the GTI and they wouldn’t seem out of place. Fit and finish put this car in a class of its own, far beyond it’s dollar amount.
