I recently made the jump to the world of high definition TV. After a few weekends watching standard DVDs, I realized I was going to "need" a Blue-Ray player--and since the Playstation 3 has that built in, it was the obvious choice. It was time to waste more money and even more time and buy Gran Turismo 5. I spent the entire weekend playing, and have since honed my driving skills to new levels. I've been out of the video game world for about 5 years and was amazed at how far it has come. I used the training mode, which shows you the proper line to take and when to brake, for most of the weekend until late Sunday, when I was feeling a bit more confident. When I tried it on my own, I found things quite a bit more difficult but still managed to win some races. I think the fact that I was driving a Nissan GT-R and was racing against cars like a Mini Cooper, VW GTI, and Audi TT had something to do with it. Now I've got my eyes on a slightly used Ferrari F40. What an amazing game for any car nut to get a quick fix from. My wife is so happy with me.
