The LR2 lacks the feeling of "specialness" that I enjoy in the LR3, the Range Rover Sport, and the Range Rover. It's that intangible feeling that allows you to overlook the brand's dismal reliability record and high product costs. The LR2 is a perfectly decent vehicle, and it might be semi-affordable, but at this price point I'd much rather have a BMW X3, an Acura RDX, or I would imagine probably the upcoming Audi Q5 and Mercedes GLK. That said, the LR2 was very good on Ann Arbor's snow-covered streets.
