The Suzuki XL7 is one of those vehicles that gets lost in the overcrowded mid-size SUV market.

This is probably because it doesn’t really shine in any particular way although it’s a solid choice especially for the budget-minded. The engine is powerful enough but it can get a touch wheezy when really pushed. Although the transmission shifts a bit slowly, it’s smooth, whether you're taking your time getting up to speed or you’ve got the pedal to the floor. It’s interior is a weak spot which is surprising considering the interior of Suzuki’s own SX-4—which is thousands of dollars cheaper—is one of the nicest in it’s price range. All things considered, the XL7 is a really good value, especially if you need seating for more than five people on a regular basis. It’s handsome too, so you can haul your XL family in style.
