Read Marc Noordeloos's comments on driving the 2008 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG.

I think Mercedes finally did it; they've built an M3 killer. I want to like the BMW and I think it could turn out to be the better car to own and enjoy but there is something so childish, fun, and honest about the C63. From the impressive steering to glorious engine, Mercedes hit the sweet spot with this mini-Black Series. This is a modern muscle car if there ever was one. That has pretty much been the AMG focus all along but the C63 brings along an accomplished chassis. You can dance the C63 and slide it for days. It is that good. My only two small issues with the car are ride quality and the seats. As Lorio said, you need to watch out for imperfections in the road plus, the seat are just too aggressive and tight for me. Come on Mercedes, this is still a sedan; the seats in the M3 and RS4 are a far better balance. Oh yah, and though the automatic tranny is a big improvement over the Black Series, you can still catch it out once in a while. In the end, I'm sure over a lumpy, bumpy, and challenging road that the M3's suspension tuning would really show but I think I'd still take the manly Mercedes over the somewhat diluted experience in the newest M3.
