Read David Yochum's comments on driving the 2008 Dodge Journey.

I'm lukewarm on the Journey's looks, I was surprised at the amount of space and features it offers inside. Cooling beverage compartment, LED lighting, a great radio tuner knob (this thing can switch from Sirius channel 100 to 18 in one turn!), and decent materials - for a Chrysler.

However, driving the Journey is a different story. Maybe it was just me, but I could not find a comfortable seating position. I adjusted the telescoping wheel, but the more you pull it to you, the less connected you feel with the car. It also seemed the front cabin/dash area was incredibly spacious - it sort of felt like I was driving an oversized, heavy new VW Beetle. With an underpowered 3.5-liter engine, poor road feedback, and regular understeer, I think I'd shop elsewhere for a crossover. But for a near $25,000 base price, the Journey could be a value to some.
