The steering in the Porsche Cayman/Boxster just might be the best in anything this side of a supercar. It's a joy to use, even just wheeling out of the parking garage.

Of course, the Cayman S has other charms as well, particularly the unmistakable sound of Porsche's flat six and the particular balance of its mid-engine layout.

Our test car's interior was solid gray, with the lone exception of bright-yellow seatbelts. I couldn't help wondering how much Porsche charges for that little novelty. The answer: $340. Yes, indeed. I almost have to admire Porsche's screw-the-stupid-yuppie pricing for its decorative accessories.
