Wow, what a great car. I really enjoyed my time in the CTS, but I also found a few problems. My biggest gripe is the way the dash curves around to allow for the vent between the steering wheel and the infotainment controls. I could not find a seating position where my right knee didn't dig into the dash. This pretty much means I could never be comfortable in this car.
The other problem I had involved the iPod interface. When I plugged in the USB cable, the system seemed to freeze up. It's entirely possible the car was just indexing my music collection, but nothing in the display told me that was happening. After about 10 minutes I got tired of waiting. I removed the USB cable from the car and just used the audio jack to listen to my playlists. This wasn't ideal, but the sound quality was fine. iPod issues aside, I think Cadillac has the best configuration of buttons for the HVAC system, stereo, and nav system. There aren't any awkward joysticks and the retractable screen for the nav system is very cool.
I'd love more supportive seats, too. I felt as if I were sitting on the seat, not in it. That wasn't a good feeling when taking a turn at speed. A 3-series offers much better seats for performance driving.
