2008 Toyota Corolla Interior View

Here it is, another new Corolla. The styling is forgettable but it does go down the road quite well, despite the artificially heavy steering. This sport model with heated leather and a mega stereo costs nearly $23,000. That is far too much to pay when you consider it doesn't have an automatic (how many manuals do you really think they're going to sell?) or a sunroof. I think the car would be better as a base, non-sport model without leather or the $1000 stereo. Once again, this is another Toyota that offers very little over the cheaper Korean offerings. For only about $1000 more money, you can get a top-spec Hyundai Sonata that is the size of a Toyota Camry. The Sonata has power and heated leather seats, five-speed automatic, V-6, 17-inch alloy wheels, auto-dimming mirrors and auto climate control. Plus, you'd get the super Hyundai warranty. Only resale value would be an issue and it can't be too much longer until this concern goes away. Sorry Toyota, you're going to have to start putting some character into your cars before the Koreans start taking huge chunks out of your sales figures.
