Read Marc Noordeloos's comments on driving the 2008 Porsche 911 Carrera S.

Sorry Audi, the 911 wins. Your R8 may be super exotic for the money and be a very impressive car but the Porsche still takes it. From the steering to the engine noise to the brake feel, I can think of very few cars that reward like the 911. Snow traction and balance is fantastic with winter tires, even with only rear-wheel drive. Plus, what other car rewards at this level when pushed yet can still rattle off miles in complete comfort? I know of no other car that can play hardcore sportscar and GT like a 911. Sure, the shifter could be a tad more precise, especially when cold, and the now ancient sat nav unit is cumbersome to use but the rest of the 911 is so good. Yes, just like every other journo, I'm in love with this car.
