Read Marc Noordeloos's comments on driving the 2008 Suzuki SX4 Hatchback.

I like the SX4. It's inexpensive and pretty fun to drive. The gearbox is impressive and the center stack looks very upmarket. The engine works well in the city but it struggles to get the car up to highway speeds unless you really work it. I'm sure the weight of the 4wd system doesn't help, although the SX4 does weigh under 3000 pounds. The chassis is solid but feels too soft at times. The only glaring issue I have is the steering. It offers no feedback and is very dead on center. It's worth a look if you're in the market for a $15,000 car.
