2008 Mini Cooper Clubman S Interior

I guess I'm the target market for the Clubman. I owned a last-generation Mini Cooper when I was single but now I have a wife and two kids. A weekend of fun running around town should give me a good idea of how it works. Two car seats fit in the back but the single clamshell door makes popping the little buggers in each seat quite difficult, especially a rear facing child seat. I'm not a huge fan of the newest Mini in general and the Clubman doesn't change that. This longer-wheelbase model does ride better but it still is too crashy around town. Plus, I still don't like the steering on the newest Mini. It is fine around town but it's too heavy even in normal mode on the highway. I also don't really like the looks of the Clubman. It should have rear doors on both sides (Mini says the fuel tank kept this from happening) and the plastic strip around the rear doors is not good looking. As with the 2-door Mini, I'll take a 5-door GTI over the Clubman any day.
