I never drove the previous V-6-powered Touareg, so I can't compare this to that vehicle. Pickup and passing power should be quick enough for soccer moms, but it's far from invigorating. Body roll is almost Lincoln Town Car-like. I find the seat cushions way too firm, but I actually like this VW's athletic stance and attractive silhouette. And call me crazy, but I absolutely love the Phaeton-like gauges and shifter surround controls.
