2009 Porsche Cayenne S

31031502 Posted October 25 2009 01:33 PM by Matthew Phenix

I've driven pretty much every flavor of Porsche Cayenne , and every time I get behind the wheel of one, I feel the urge do something heroic, like lap the Nürburgring or cross the Continental Divide or navigate the Mall of...

2009 Mazda MX-5 Miata: Happy Birthday

25410737 Posted October 8 2009 05:36 AM by Matthew Phenix

There’s not a lot to be said about the Mazda Miata that Jean Jennings and Jamie Kitman — two of the car’s most abiding and eloquent devotees — haven’t already said better . But I can’t resist making note of an anniversary:...

2010 Toyota Prius

30806712 Posted October 5 2009 09:30 AM by Matthew Phenix

This morning I finished a week and 800 miles behind the wheel of a 2010 Toyota Prius . I'm impressed. On one of my 68-mile legs (which includes a highway-biased mix of stop-and-go traffic and open road), the car informed...

On the Trail with a 2010 Hummer H3T

26607073 Posted October 5 2009 09:18 AM by Phil Floraday

It seems as if every review of a purpose-built vehicle comes with a caveat along the lines of, "too bad none of the owners will ever really use the vehicle for more than a status symbol." So we took a 2010 Hummer H3T to a...

2010 Jaguar XK Convertible

30695031 Posted September 28 2009 01:10 PM by Matthew Phenix

February 2008: That's the last time I found myself behind the wheel of a Jaguar XK convertible . That car cost $87,910, and unlike most everybody else who wrote anything about it, I panned it.

Camaro vs. Cube
30639546 Posted September 24 2009 04:31 PM by Jason Cammisa

It just so happens this week that I am driving two of the most visually striking cars of the year – a Chevy Camaro and a Nissan Cube. What will the neighbors think?

2010 Subaru Outback 3.6R

26258938 Posted September 18 2009 12:16 PM by Matthew Phenix

When I was a kid, my older brother spent a few sweet years abusing a silver 1978 Subaru BRAT, and I spent a memorable portion of that time clinging for dear life in its little pickup bed, wedged into a rear-facing seat...

26223421 Posted September 17 2009 11:00 AM by David Zenlea

By Joe DeMatio I'm in Lisbon, Portugal, where I just drove the all-new 2010 BMW 5-series Gran Turismo, or GT, for the first time. Here are some initial thoughts.

Last Dance: 2009 Dodge Caliber SRT4

25813897 Posted September 14 2009 01:16 PM by Matthew Phenix

So last week, doubtless at the behest of its new Italian parent , Dodge quietly killed the Caliber SRT4. And today, none other than a 2009 Dodge Caliber SRT4 landed in my driveway. Perfect timing.

2010 Toyota Tundra

30092217 Posted September 4 2009 11:37 AM by Joe Lorio

For the last two decades, full-size pickups have been getting bigger and bigger. And through all that time, Toyota has been playing catch-up. First with the T-100, then with the original Tundra. Finally, the all-new,...

The 2010 Ford Mustang convertible can’t help but be a standout in its field
24673999 Posted August 17 2009 01:04 PM by Joe Lorio

From the moment in 1964 when the Ford Mustang established the ponycar, convertibles have been an integral element of the genre. Except for a few dark years in the 1970s and early ’80s, there has always been a Mustang...

The death of the Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky means no more GM roadsters
29402433 Posted August 12 2009 03:33 PM by Joe Lorio

With GM shutting down Pontiac and selling off Saturn, it’s no surprise that the company would end production of the Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky roadsters. Since the roadsters were the only products produced at GM’s...

2010 Honda Insight is another mileage champ that’s not much fun to drive.
24510169 Posted August 7 2009 10:57 AM by Joe Lorio

I recently spent a few weeks with our magazine’s long-term Volkswagen Jetta TDI, which has earned a lot of respect around the office but which I was less than thrilled with. Although I often saw an indicated fuel economy...

First Drive: 2010 BMW X6 M
25475175 Posted July 7 2009 01:56 PM by Jason Cammisa

I can't remember the last time I heard anyone ask for a 555-hp SUV-or, an M version of their truck. We can get into endless discussions about whether M should be building such a vehicle (which, of course, I had with the...
