Dealer buys last Mitsubishi made in Australia for $94,000

Is a 2008 Galant worth close to six figures? An Australian Mitsubishi dealer thinks so, as he just purchased an example at auction for a whopping $93,964 in U.S. currency - more than three times its sticker price.

The new Lancer is important for two main reasons: It gives us a preview of the basic shape of the Lancer Evolution X and its sales could decide whether Mitsubishi will hang around to sell that car.
